A fan site about the undoubted legend, Ronaldo Luis. In the past 20 years, Ronaldo has proved to be one of the best strikers in the world. Many regard him even as the best, unsurprisingly. In his prime, he had all the attributes s that a striker could ever ask for: speed, composure, finishing, heading - you name it, he had it. Ronaldo has over 100 caps for his country, Brazil, and has scored 67 in return. He has been part of two World Cup winning sqauds, and has an endless amount of personal awards and trophies to his name at club level. Ronaldo raised the standard of playing as a forward, and over the past 15 years he has given so much to football.
Ronaldo started his career in Brazil, at Cruzeiro. He made his debut in 1993, and that season he scored 12 goals in 14 appearances. Top European clubs were on the chase for this young starlet and it was PSV Eindhoven who succesfully landed the striker in 1994. After two years of playing quite simply amazing football for a boy of his age, Barcelona made a substantial bid for the player. And again, Ronaldo was quite simply superb in La Liga. His skill was undefining, his touch was deadly, and he was the last player to score over 30 goals in one single La Liga campaign. Subsequently, Ronaldo won the FIFA World Player of the year 2006. Hence why Inter Millan came in for the striker, who’s career was getting only better and better by the minute. His improvement was rapid and he was determined to become the best.
His first season at Inter Millan in 1999 was not the most successful though. He had picked up a long term injury, that kept frustrated Ronaldo out for months. In 2000, Ronaldo Luis made his eagerly anticipated return for Inter Milan and in only five seasons at Inter he scored an ashtonishing 49 goals in 68 games. However, Real Madrid thought there was more to come from Ronaldo. They made an offer of £30 Million for the Brazilian striker. Ronaldo Luis was at the peak of his career, and he was banging in the goals like there was no tomorrow. In 127 top level appearances, Ronaldo scored 82 goals in a five year period for Real Madrid. At Real Madrid, Ronaldo was undoubtedly at the pinnacle of his career, shown by winning even more personal allocates.
Ronaldo then joined yet another top club in AC Millan this time. He had one season at Inter, and was 30 years old at this point, but he impressed once again by scoring 18 goals in just one season. However, he was then ruled out for the lengthy period of 8 months, and was released by the Italian giants. He is currently a free agent, and it his rumored that Brazilian club Flamengo and Manchester City are chasing the striker.
